In Queensland, to drive a personal watercraft or jet ski you must have a Recreational Marine Drivers Licence (RMDL) AND a Personal Watercraft Licence (PWCL).

We are an approved QLD BoatSafe training provider offering either competency-based training and assessment program or recognition of prior learning assessment for Personal Watercraft Licence (PWCL). We are focused on training safety, awareness & confidence in boat handling will achieving the required Boatsafe standard. All levels of experience are catered for and we combine online learning with practical components to get the most out of experience.

  2. Complete the Online theory course, in your own time, at your own pace. Practical training must be completed within 3 months of obtaining the Online Training Course Completion Certificate.

  6. Conduct the BoatSafe Practical Assessment.
  7. Take your Statement of Competency to the Transport and Main Roads Queensland, pay their fee to receive your licence. The Statement of Competency is valid for 6 months.

The ‘Statement of Competency’ is NOT a licence.

What to bring:

  • Proof of RMDL
  • Towel & sunscreen
  • Drinking water

We RECOMMEND wearing neoprene shorts on a jet ski.
WHY? Neoprene’s form-fitting protection prevents injuries to the lower body
when striking the water.
